Jim Wong-Chu was a Canadian activist, community organizer, poet, author, editor, and historian. He is one of Canada’s most celebrated literary pioneers. A community organizer known for establishing organizations highlighting Asian arts and culture in Canada, Jim was one of the founders of the Asian Canadian Writers’ Workshop, Ricepaper Magazine, LiterASIAN Festival, and the Vancouver Asian Heritage Month Society.
